AGCO Corporation Acquires Farmer Automatic from The Clark Companies

The Clark Companies announced today that AGCO Corporation (NYSE:AGCO), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, has acquired Farmer Automatic from The Clark Companies. Farmer Automatic is a leading manufacturer of poultry solutions for layers, pullets and broilers and is headquartered in Laer, Germany. The sale includes Farmer Automatic’s manufacturing operations in Laer as well as its global distribution network.
Jason Clark, President of The Clark Companies stated, “We are enthusiastic about the opportunities this deal will provide for Farmer Automatic’s customers globally as well as for Farmer Automatic’s employees, distributors and sales agents.” The Clark Companies, through a subsidiary, will remain the exclusive distributor of Farmer Automatic equipment throughout Canada.

We are very excited to be adding Farmer Automatic to the AGCO family and to the GSI group.
