Taco Bell, Kellogg & Panera Bread switching to cage-free eggs

The Kellogg Company plans to source only cage-free eggs for its foods by the end of 2025. Kellogg has already reduced its use of eggs from caged hens in MorningStar Farms products by 20 million eggs since 2007, and by the end of 2016, the company has committed to switch one million more cage-free eggs within its MorningStar Farms brand. Panera Bread announced that it intends to source all of its eggs from cage-free hens by 2020. In a news release issued on November 5, Panera Bread stated that nearly 21 percent of its eggs served in 2015 are cage-free. Read the full article here
